| When do we get the keys ? | ||||||
| If you are coming into Valencia airport, we will meet you there. please make sure that you have given us an active mobile number, so we can text you or call you to make contact. If we cannot get through to you on your mobile, we will wait for you in arrivals with a sign with your name on it. If you plan to make your own way to your apartment, we would still prefer to meet you at the airport. That way, you can take as much time as you want getting there and not worry about keeping us waiting. If you are
not coming to the airport, we will meet you at the apartment at the time
you tell us you are going to be there. Please let us know if your planned
arrival time changes, as soon as you know, especially if you know you
will be later than expected. |

| How far is the airport from Valencia city ? | ||||||
| 8 - 10 kilometers or 20 to 30 minutes from the airport by car | ||||||
| Is there a bus or metro to the City ? | ||||||
| YES - It departs from Level 1 (salidas / departures) from the airport and leaves you in Calle Belen at the side of Xativa / Estacion Nord, the main train station. The metro also runs from the airport to the City. | ||||||
| How much is the airport transfer provided by Valencia Short Stay ? | ||||||
| We provide a transfer service in a 7 seater Seat Alhambra, with air conditioning. The price varies depending on the number of users. 25 euros for two, with an extra 5 euros per person up to a maximum of 45 euros. Our charge is more or less what you would pay a taxi, depending on which part of the city you are going to. | ||||||
| Do we have to pay for the extra bedrooms, if we only need one bedroom? | ||||||
| NO - We charge by the person, not the bed. You can have flat to yourself. But the minimum charge is normally what we would charge for two people for three days. | ||||||
| Is one apartment more expensive than another? | ||||||
| YES - Prices vary according to location and number of bathrooms. | ||||||
| Who pays for cleaning? | ||||||
| A standard 50 - 80 euro cleaning charge is added to the bookings, to cover normal cleaning and laundry. The amount depends on the number of people and the length of the stay. If you are staying more than a week and would like a cleaner, we charge 12 euros an hour with a minimum of 40 euros a visit. | ||||||
| Are there any extra costs ? | ||||||
| NO - Sheets, Towels, TV and internet (where available) are included in the rental price. Normal electricity and water consiumption is also included. We check the metres regularly; and reserve the right to make a charge against your deposit for excess consumption. But that wont be necessary provided you switch the air conditioning off when you are not in the apartment. | ||||||
| Is there a reduction for stays with a duration of more than one week? | ||||||
| The rate goes down the longer you stay. We also rent by the month for longer stays. | ||||||
| What's the best way to pay our deposit? | ||||||
| The
quickest way to secure your booking is to pay by Visa or Mastercard via
our bank's secure card payment service. Click Card
Payments here or on our Prices page to make your payment. Your
card details are only 'seen' by the bank. It is safe as can be; and it is
simple to annul the payment if you need to cancel. We also can return your
deposit at the end of your stay, by anulling the payment. When we anull a payment, the bank makes a charge automatically, so you get back whay you paid less 3%.
We also accept credit card payments over the telephone. You may also pay by bank transfer. |

| What's the difference between the Holding Deposit and the Security Deposit ? | ||||||
| A
Holding Deposit of 250 euros (£185) is required to secure
your booking, and goes towards the rent. |

| What happens at the end of our stay ? | ||||||
| Normally we ask our visitors to leave the keys in the apartment. Please, make sure lights, the water immersion heater (if there is one) and the air conditioning are switched off, before you leave; and the blinds are down. | ||||||
| Can we get our deposit back when we leave ? | ||||||
| No – The apartment is yours throughout your visit, and it would spoil the experience, if we were to invade your space to check the beds etc while you were still there. We go through our checklist, when we do the cleaning, which could be a few days later. We aim to return deposits within 10 days of your departure, which seems to work well for everyone. In special circumstances, we can repay the deposit at the time of you departure. But since this requires a special visit, the repayment will be reduced by 25 euros, the cost of the visit. | ||||||
| What happens if we have to cancel ? | ||||||
| If you cancel within 48 hours, we will annul your card payment and you will get your deposit back straight away, less the bank’s 3% charge. If you cancel later on, then you will have to pay part or all of the rental, depending on how late you cancel. See our terms for full details. So, we recommend that our guests take out a holiday insurance to cover you in the event of cancellation. | ||||||
| How do we avoid double bookings? | ||||||
| We only make a firm reservation when you have paid your deposit. When you pay via the internet, you will receive an email confirming payment has been made. We also ask you to email info@valenciashortstay.com as well to say you have paid your deposit for your stay. We then pass on this deposit on to the owner to ensure that the apartment is held for you. | ||||||
| Does Valencia Short Stay also do long stays ? | ||||||
| We manage a number of flats that are not on the web site that are available for Mid Stays - ie for rental up to 11 months. Rentals over a month are subject to a rental agreement, which is available in English or Spanish. | ||||||
